Outdoor ceremony, crying with laughter in the speeches and a dog called Bailey at this Henley Hall Ludlow Wedding

Henley Hall Ludlow Wedding

It’s always great to be the first to do something and Joanne & David have the proud claim to fame of being the very first couple to have their wedding ceremony on the lawn at the beautiful Henley Hall, Ludlow in Shropshire, right next to the River Ledwyche

It’s a privately owned house and limited to around half a dozen weddings a year. So book early if you’re interested!!

When I met the couple at the venue, a month or so before the wedding, I got the opportunity to show off some of my largely useless general knowledge by knowing what a ha-ha is. Good to know that all those pub quizzes haven’t been in vain!! (It’s a little ditch that you find at country houses. It keeps the livestock from getting on the manicured lawn but can’t be seen from the house….so now you know!)

Henley hall is a Grade II listed building with gorgeous formal gardens and parkland. It’s only about 2 miles from Ludlow, a stunning location for a wedding 🙂

After the ceremony, in to the cars and off to Clee Hills Rugby Club. The Groom (and a lot of the guests!) were involved with the club. It proved to be a great place for them to have a marquee!

Fairground games were on the grass for some proper traditional afternoon fun. Then it was followed by a fish & chip tea from a local chippy!

Then the evening was open house, for anyone in Clee that wanted to come along ‑brave!!
