Believe it or not, but at 2.5 miles away, Mount Hotel Wolver­hamp­ton Wed­ding Pho­tog­ra­phy isn’t the short­est dri­ve I’ve ever had to a wedding!

That hon­our goes to Ban­tock House , in Ban­tock Park in Finch­field, Wolver­hamp­ton. Which is 1 mile away!

They were both built as rather grand fam­i­ly homes, before being sold off when for­tunes start­ed to run dry. Ban­tock House becom­ing a muse­um and The Mount in Tet­ten­hall, becom­ing a lux­u­ry hotel.

The Mount was built by The Man­der Fam­i­ly as a sis­ter house to Ban­tock House, which is now owned by the Nation­al Trust. On the top of a hill, The Mount has views over to Shrop­shire and was used by the fam­i­ly for entertaining.

Over 100 years lat­er the own­er­ship has changed. But enter­tain­ing is still at the heart of The Mount, as both a hotel and wed­ding venue. 

Hav­ing done a fam­i­ly pho­to­shoot for the Bride a few years ago it was won­der­ful to cap­ture up and see how the chil­dren have grown.

A Wolverhampton Wedding at The Mount Hotel

Clare, the bride was get­ting ready at home, a short dri­ve from The Mount. So this gave me the oppor­tu­ni­ty to vis­it both her and Dan dur­ing morn­ing prep, with the groom get­ting ready at the venue. I always try to some of the build up to the wed­ding from both points of view, to show more of the story.

Then back to the venue for guests arriv­ing and after that the main event of the day! 

After the wed­ding cer­e­mo­ny in the Orangery it was out­side into the glo­ri­ous ear­ly sum­mer sun­shine for con­fet­ti, drinks and canapes. 

The Mount Hotel Wolver­hamp­ton has a love­ly ter­race for wed­ding pho­tog­ra­phy. It looks out over the lawn, with a small wood­ed area fur­ther down the hill.

The Speeches

As the guests were relax­ing out­side the staff at The Mount were busy turn­ing the room around for their wed­ding break­fast and of course, speeches.
