A Stunning Wedding Venue in the Herefordshire Countryside

It’s always exciting to hear about a new wedding venue, especially one that includes a repurposed piggery!

So when the enquiry from Zoe & Gareth came in, asking about Crumplebury Farm Wedding Photography, I was straight on to Google to check it out.

They’d mentioned that it’s a beautiful countryside venue with eco-credentials and that they wanted their day to be as environmentally light touch as possible.

Well, Crumplebury Farm certainly doesn’t disappoint.

There’s also an interesting back story to the venue that started with a pop up restaurant called Green Cow Kitchen. After that became a success they decided to convert an old pigsty, called Crumplebury into a permanent fine-dining restaurant.

From there developed the idea for building what is now the wedding venue, a glorious purpose built construction that is flooded with light. There are interesting object d’art dotted around the building which just adds to the sense that you’re in an art gallery.

Reasons to choose Crumplebury for your wedding venue:-

  • Glorious Herefordshire countryside (but only 12 miles from Worcester)
  • Art gallery vibes
  • Incredible food from Green Cow Kitchen

A Wedding Venue on the Whitbourne Estate

As you approach Crumplebury, along a winding country lane, you turn a corner and catch a view across the valley towards the stunning Whitbourne Hall. The whole of the Whitbourne Estate has been in the family of the owners of Crumplebury for several generations, although the hall itself has now been sold.

I actually photographed a wedding at Whitbourne Hall a few years ago and the first of the links below is to a blog about it.

The two venues are so different but equally impressive and of course they share the same countryside.

They’re in Herefordshire but right on the border with Worcestershire and only about a 30 minute drive from the city.

Zoe & Gareth were keen that their wedding would have as little impact on the planet as possible, which influenced their choice of suppliers and some of the decisions they made.

These included:-

  • Seasonal food, much of it sourced locally
  • Online ‘save the dates’ and RSVPs
  • A make up artist (Sarah Russell) who used eco-friendly and vegan products
  • Venue decorations which were hired (rather than single use) from the amazing Country Foxes

Some other top tips from them are:-

  • To move decorations around your venue as the day progresses. Eg a floral display that starts in your ceremony room and then is moved to the reception room for the wedding breakfast.
  • Ask your florist to use whatever flowers are in season and get a lovely surprise!
  • Consider a honeymoon in the UK — Z & G went to the Scottish Highliands

This wedding was late October with glorious autumn sunshine as everyone spilled outside.

Time for confetti, drinks and canapes.

“We were absolutely thrilled with Nick’s artistry on our wedding day at Crumplebury, Worcestershire! He captured the most beautiful images while most people were completely unaware they were being photographed. It was so emotional looking through and there was one Nick captured of my mum and dad looking at each other proudly after dad ‘gave me away’, which made me cry (happy tears) — what a beautiful moment that we completely missed at the time.

We really recommend Nick and felt from start to finish like we were in very safe hands. All our guests commented on what a lovely guy he was.

Thank you so much Nick”
