Well, what a great year last year was and here are my choice of the best wedding photos of 2022.

Weddings finally getting back to normal after 2 years of covid disruption. It’s good to be able to see people let their hair down, and celebrate.

I’ve done these yearly look backs on an adhoc basis a few times. Check out the ones for 2019 and 2018!

You can also see some of my faves in this blog about award winning photography.

And, as a professional people watcher(!) what could be better than being able to document gatherings of friends and family, celebrating one of the most important days in a couples’ relationship.

I had weddings in barns, country houses and hotels, village halls, social clubs and back gardens. Weddings in yurts, tipis and marquees. People getting married from far flung places, like Brazil, Albania, Romania, Turkey, India and Australia.

A few that I’ve had chance to blog were at Hanbury Wedding Barn, Thorpe Gardens, The Blue Piano, Shack Revolution and The Ashes Barns. Plus, I REALLY need to get some blogs written for weddings at The Mount Hotel, Tettenhall, The Moat House and Bordesley Park!

So, I’ve whittled down the thousands of images I’ve delivered to my couples this year into a little collection of favourites.

Turn up the volume, sit back and hit the play button

Or, if you’d prefer then you can browse a selection of the images below

As you can see, the images are arranged into the typical flow of a wedding, telling the story of the day. That’s how I approach wedding photography, as a story teller. Of course there are key moments which are important to capture, but it’s also about all those in-between bits too. The moments between the moments, that’s often where the story is.

So there you go, my best wedding photos of 2022, hope you liked them! A year of great weddings, lovely people, wonderful days.

If you’re planning your own wedding then please get in touch for a chat!!
